It’s worth mentioning that there are a few keyboard types available on the market. They may slightly differ as to the layout of the keys, but all of them include:
- Function keys: F1-F12
- Control keys: Alt, Ctrl, Windows key, Esc
- Alphanumeric keys: the same as in a typewriter keyboard as well as Space and Enter buttons
- Navigation keys: arrow keys, Home, Delete, Insert, Page Up, Page Down, End
- Numeric keys: number keys on the far right of the keyboard
CAPITAL LETTERS
To get a capital letter, press and hold Shift together with another key, e.g. Shift + a
If it happens that letters
Y and
Z are swapped, you need to press Shift + Ctrl
What’s more, if you place your fingers on
F and
J keys, you will feel little bumps – that’s where you index fingers should be positioned. Thanks to this little trick, you can always check whether your fingers are placed correctly or not.
